In November 2024, Belgrade hosted the third annual LookUp International Conference under the theme “Green Transition and the 5th Industrial Revolution”.
The conference brought together leading experts, companies, and representatives from the fields of sustainability, circular economy, and technology to explore innovative systems shaping a sustainable future.
During the parallel panel discussion, “Ecosystem of the Future: Modern Sustainability Systems”, Assistant Professor Dr. Zorana Petojevic from the University of Belgrade, Faculty of Civil Engineering, presented one segment of the Circ-Boost project. Her focus was on the 3D Digital Circular Economy Map for Residential Buildings, a tool that will be developed for one part of the Palilula municipality in Belgrade.
The map will enable comprehensive analysis of the existing residential building stock in terms of material assessment of construction elements, circularity evaluations of buildings, recommendations for waste treatment during renovation or demolition, with the ultimate goal of improving construction waste management.
