On November 26th, Université Gustave Eiffel, a Circ-Boost partner, hosted a successful Scientific Day dedicated to exploring the future of circular economy and low-carbon strategies in the construction sector.
The event brought together a dynamic mix of researchers, students, architects, and industry professionals, fostering valuable exchanges around innovation and collaboration.
Key highlights included:
– Showcases of groundbreaking projects like Circ-Boost, presented by Cap Digital and Université Gustave Eiffel, with the participation of our partner CSTB, as well as discussions on pivotal topics such as:
– Construction sector flows: approaches and tools
– Reuse and recycling within the construction industry
– Circular economy as a driver for low-carbon strategies
The day culminated in a thought-provoking roundtable: “What approaches can foster circular economy in the construction sector?”
Panellists shared insights on eco-design, overcoming barriers, leveraging enablers, and embedding circular economy principles into professions, education, and R&D.
The lecture was held within the Advanced construction techniques course at the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya and is one of the training activities Circ-Boost conducts as a part of our objective to transfer skills and knowledge to the construction workforce to adopt Circ-Boost innovative circular solutions in their processes.
