Our Dr. Zorana Petojevic from University of Belgrade, Faculty of Civil Engineering participated in the international conference “GDE-KUDA-KAKO” organized by the Serbian Association for Demolition, Decontamination, and Recycling (https://srda.rs/).
As an official member of the European Demolition Association (Association EDA), SRDA is at the forefront of advancing sustainable construction practices.
Dr. Petojević showcased the innovative 3D Digital Circular Economy Map for Residential Buildings, which will be developed as a part of the Circ-Boost project. This innovative tool is designed to evaluate the circularity of existing building stock and provide practical recommendations for the treatment of construction and demolition (C&D) waste.
Event discussions highlighted the map’s key stakeholders, the valuable insights it offers, and its alignment with regulatory requirements for effective C&D waste management.
The conference brought together diverse stakeholders, including experts in secondary raw materials, construction companies, local community representatives, building maintenance professionals, and inspection authorities, fostering a rich exchange of ideas.
A big thank you to Dejan Bojovic and the Serbian Association for hosting this impactful event. Together, we are building a future where circular economy principles form the backbone of modern construction!
