As part of Circ-Boost’s Norwegian pilot, high-quality concrete from the demolition of the Nortura facility in Sortland has been carefully cut for reuse in the future GAIA Vesteralen museum.
This step was made possible thanks to the support of Sparebank 68° Nord and the efforts of our partners STIFTELSEN MUSEUM NORD, UiT- The Arctic University of Norway, Reno-Vest IKS, and Lundhagem architects.
The concrete will first serve as benches in Galleriet, Sortland, and later become part of the GAIA Vesteralen museum building – keeping local history alive while promoting circular construction practices.
