The Circ-Boost project is pleased to announce the launch of the first out of 3 sessions of the MOOC “Selective Deconstruction”, developed by CSTB in collaboration with project partners UGE, Eiffage, NGE, and Métropole du Grand Paris, and with a contribution from the French Fédération ECOCONSTRUIRE, the Association of Deconstruction, Remediation and Recycling Companies in France (SEDDre) and GINGER DELEO.
The course, which is available on MOOC Bâtiment Durable platform, will open on 9 December 2025, with registration now available. will open on 8th December 2025, with registration now available.
Selective deconstruction is a key approach for reducing waste and improving recovery, reuse, and recycling in the building sector, all essential elements of a circular economy. This MOOC provides professionals with a structured and accessible introduction to the principles, methods, and practical steps of a selective deconstruction project.
The first session of the MOOC includes:
- A 4-week learning programme, estimated at 1h30 per week
- Step-by-step guidance through pre-site, on-site, and post-site phases
- Practical insights from professionals and field experience
- A final assessment leading to a certificate of successful completion (score ≥70%)
Two additional sessions will follow in 2026.
The course builds on the guide “Secteur du bâtiment, comment mieux valoriser et déconstruire?” developed by CSTB in collaboration with OREE, and integrates knowledge generated within Circ-Boost’s Horizon Europe framework.
“Selective deconstruction is essential for reducing environmental impact and supporting the circular use of materials,” said Mona Nasseredine, CSTB. “This MOOC is a tool to help all actors – from project owners to teachers – understand and apply these principles effectively.”
The Course is developed as part of the Pilot 2 activities, led by CAP Digital.
