Circ-Boost had its official kick-off on June 26th & 27th with a public event hosted by the Faculty of Civil Engineering in Belgrade, Serbia.
Meeting was opened by dr. Vladan Đokić, University of Belgrade rector, dr. Vladan Kuzmanović, dean of the Faculty of Civil Engineering, University of Belgrade, the partner which organised the kick-off and is leading one of the pilot projects, and dr. Albert de la Fuente Antequera from Polytechnic University of Catalonia, coordinator of the project.
Prof. Nikola Tošić from Polytechnic University of Catalonia and Davide Guariento from Association of Balkan Eco – Innovation introduced the project to the representatives of all partner institutions.
Main section of the event was dedicated to the presentation of the project Work Packages and the activities that each partner unit will carry out during the 4-years course of the project.
Faculty of Civil Engineering, University of Belgrade team led by prof. Ivan Ignjatović, along with a meticulous organization of the kick-off event, organized a guided walk tour through Belgrade, introducing the Serbian history to all guests.
The meeting was an amazing opportunity for all partners to get to know each other, discuss about the project and exchange ideas for next steps. The takeaway of the meeting is that Circ-Boost will deliver sustainability, industrial competitiveness, and greater resource-use efficiency in European construction.
