On 30 May 2026, Circ-Boost partners from the Faculty of Civil Engineering, University of Belgrade will organise a full-day workshop dedicated to the collection of geospatial data and the creation of 3D building models based on images and LiDAR point clouds.
The workshop, titled “Collection of geospatial data using photogrammetric surveying and the creation of 3D building models based on images and LiDAR point clouds,” will combine theoretical introduction, field demonstration and practical computer-lab training.
The first part of the workshop will introduce participants to the fundamentals of photogrammetric surveying, georeferencing, airborne laser scanning methods and 3D city modelling.
This session will be led by Nenad Brodić, PhD, Assistant Professor at the Department of Geodesy and Geoinformatics, Faculty of Civil Engineering, University of Belgrade.
Following the introductory presentation, participants will take part in a field exercise focused on photogrammetric surveying using an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV), as well as spatial data collection using a GNSS RTK receiver. The practical session will be led by Nenad Brodić, Stefanija Ćuković and Anastasija Martinenko-Đurović.
After the lunch break, the workshop will continue in the computer labs with hands-on training on 3D building object modelling, focusing on LOD3 models based on point clouds obtained from LiDAR scanning and photogrammetry.
The workshop will take place at the Faculty of Civil Engineering, University of Belgrade, from 10:00 to 17:00 CET.
Please note that the workshop will be conducted in Serbian and the number of participants is limited.
In case of high interest, an additional workshop will be organised, with further details to be announced at a later stage.
