On 30th October, experts from Faculty of Civil Engineering, University of Belgrade and HafenCity University of Hamburg held a webinar to guide the audience through the complete workflow of advanced 3D city modelling – from LiDAR data processing to the creation of detailed CityGML LoD3 models.
In the webinar the experts demonstrated how LiDAR data, imagery and existing LoD2 models can be combined to produce accurate, high-quality LoD3 results.
The audience had the chance to learn about:
- LiDAR fundamentals and preprocessing
- Roof detection and façade reconstruction
- CityGML LoD3 semantic modelling
- Real-world applications in smart cities and digital twins
